Horsham Matters

Horsham Matters is a pioneering foodbank charity dedicated to tackling poverty and its root causes. We go beyond the immediate crisis, offering innovative, practical, and long-lasting solutions that make a real difference to people’s lives. Our work supports residents across Horsham District whose household budgets have been stretched to breaking point, leaving them unable to afford food, pay bills, or purchase essential items, often leading to social isolation and mental health challenges.

We provide vital help through foodbanks, energy vouchers, and household essentials, alongside support services designed to reduce dependency and build resilience. Our clients include older people, individuals, families, the unemployed and those with health issues, united by the need to keep food on the table and access vital support. In addition to direct aid, we campaign for systemic change through initiatives like the Essentials Guarantee, advocating for a stronger social security system that ensures everyone has enough to live. In a district facing deep financial inequality, rising housing costs, and inflationary pressures, our mission is clear: to improve lives and create a fairer, more resilient community for all.
